A practice built on quiet, considered work — registered architecture, structural consultancy, and government-approved valuation. Built one drawing, one site visit, one client at a time for four-and-a-half decades.
01 — The Practice

A small studio in Gaya with a long register of work.

Founded in the early 1980s, Dhody & Dhody has practised continuously out of Chanakyapuri Colony in Gaya for forty-five years — drawing, detailing and supervising buildings across Bihar.

Vijay Kumar Dhody is a Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi (CA/81/6713), a Government-Approved Valuer empanelled by the Central Board of Direct Taxes, and a Certified Architect with the Gaya Nagar Nigam. The work spans residential commissions, religious architecture, lodging and assembly buildings, and statutory valuation for individuals, courts and government bodies.

The practice remains intentionally small. Each project passes through the principal's hand — sketched in plan, walked on site, signed in ink — the way buildings used to be made and, here at least, still are.

02 — What we believe

A practice with a point of view.

Vision
To be the definitive partner in turning architectural dreams into tangible landmarks — where every plan is a promise, and every build a masterpiece.

From blueprint to brick, we combine meticulous planning with relentless site precision to transform client aspirations into architectural reality.

Mission
To redefine the synergy between humanity and habitat — bridging complex construction and visionary design.

We craft carbon-neutral spaces that honour local heritage. By integrating regenerative resources with technical excellence, we transform every structure into a sustainable cornerstone of its community.

We elevate the built environment by demystifying the architect's role and delivering sustainable, site-specific solutions — synthesizing local culture with green innovation to create residential, commercial and industrial spaces that are energy-independent and future-proof.

03 — From the founder

A few words from the principal architect.

A note from Vijay Kumar Dhody
In today's world, it is essential to recognise the vital role architects play in shaping our built environment. A thoughtfully designed building plan not only ensures economic efficiency but also enhances the quality of life.

By integrating the principles of Vastu Shastra, architecture can foster health, wealth, peace and prosperity. Our vision is to create spaces that harmonise functionality with well-being — guiding people toward a more balanced and prosperous future.
